Topic: Architecture, City and Ecology

We carry out artistic and educational activities in the field of:

  • architecture and sustainable construction
  • smart cities of the future
  • ecology – conscious and sustainable use of natural resources

Selected actions:

Home DIY
Workshop on the design of “unreal homes” – large-scale collages in the space. The tape and drawing tools will be used to create unusual buildings, integrating the world of people, animals and plants. The workshop participants, inspired by selected tasks, will face unusual shapes and functions of architecture. They will create a centrally planned building in the shape of a snail shell, a round house with a tree inside, or an underground house that is a shelter during the hot summer, or a library where the waterfall lives.

The smart city of the future
Group development of a large-scale model as an ideal city of the future, in which the inhabitants would function in harmony with the environment thanks to the latest technologies. The action is preceded by discussion and making maps of problems and possible solutions that would maximally reduce the carbon footprint, facilitate the functioning of communities and individuals, and maintain a balance between the city and the nature protection area.

“Green” architectural plug
Based on selected examples of architecture, workshop participants work on their own building designs that could become “connectors” – integrating the different styles of ancient and modern architecture. Using the archival photographs and building facades, each participant will be working on semi-transparent papers or decals, creates a “green” architectural plugs visually consistent with the surrounding buildings. The workshop draws attention to ecological solutions in architecture.

A “green” building
Designing buildings that will fit into the landscape of selected green areas. As part of the workshop, participants divided into small groups will develop spatial forms, constructed of various types of materials (including recycled materials: papers, wallpapers, veneers), looking for references to the area around. Miniature buildings will incorporate innovative ecological solutions. The action preceded by an introduction on the principles of sustainable construction.

Wastebooks
Project focused on limiting the industrial production of paper and other materials. Each unique book or notebook is made of recycled basis. Wastebooks produces notebooks, zines, magazines and art books, and also offers personalized sets of paper to order for office use (copying, printing) as well as for artistic projects.

Realizujemy działania artystyczno-edukacyjne inspirowane:

  • architekturą i zrównoważonym budownictwem
  • inteligentnymi miastami przyszłości
  • ekologią – świadome i zrównoważone korzystanie z zasobów naturalnych

Wybrane działania:

Domostwarzanie
Warsztat projektowania „nierealnych domów” – wielkowymiarowych kolaży w przestrzeni. Taśma i narzędzia rysunkowe posłużą do stworzenia nietypowych budynków (inspirowanych formami przyrody), scalających ze sobą świat ludzi, zwierząt i roślin. Uczestnicy warsztatu będą mierzyć się z nietypowymi kształtami i funkcjami architektury. Stworzą centrycznie zaplanowany budynek w kształcie muszli ślimaka, okrągły dom z
drzewem w środku, czy też podziemny dom będący schronieniem w czasie upalnego lata,

Inteligentne miasto przyszłości
Grupowe opracowywanie wielkowymiarowej makiety idealnego miasta przyszłości, w którym dzięki najnowszym technologiom mieszkańcy funkcjonowaliby w zgodzie ze środowiskiem. Działanie poprzedzone dyskusją i wykonywaniem map tematycznych (niwelowanie śladu węglowego, zachowanie balansu pomiędzy miastem a przyrodą).

“Zielone” plomby architektoniczne
Na podstawie wybranych przykładów architektury uczestnicy warsztatu pracują nad własnymi projektami budynków, które mogłyby się stać „łącznikami” – scalającymi odmienną stylistykę dawnej i współczesnej architektury. Wykorzystując archiwalne fotografie i elewacje budowli każdy z uczestników, pracując na pół-transparentnych papierach bądź kalkach wykonuje “zieloną” plombę architektoniczną, spójną wizualnie z otaczającymi ją zabudowaniami. Warsztat zwraca uwagę na ekologiczne rozwiązania w architekturze.

“Zielony” budynek

Wastebooks
